Knives Out is a modern murder mystery movie series that really likes to play with almost everything about what a murder mystery is. It's really an anthology series, every movie has a new set of characters, with one exception. The detective Benoit Blanc. But Blanc is never really the main character, he's the secondary protagonist. There to support and uplift the main characters of each movie, and to solve the mystery of course.
I really recommend watching the movies before reading my analysis (and probably plot synopsis) of the movies. They each have their own mysteries and twists to be seen and they're really fun to experience blind. However, I do still think they really hold up to rewatch as most mystery movies do because you can notice the details. But also there are things like the actor's performances and deliveries and the score which I can't really do justice... just watch the movies I think if you like murder mysteries you'll really enjoy them, they're great movies.
Anyways, for the people who have watched before or the people who haven't but just wanna read on, buckle in. Of course, warning for depictions of murder, suicide, dead bodies, sex, etc.
